"From that time on the apostles, in fulfillment of Christ's will, imparted to the newly baptized by the laying on of hands the gift of the Spirit that completes the grace of Baptism. For this reason in the Letter to the Hebrews the doctrine concerning Baptism and the laying on of hands is listed among the first elements of Christian instruction. The imposition of hands is rightly recognized by the Catholic tradition as the origin of the sacrament of Confirmation, which in a certain way perpetuates the grace of Pentecost in the Church." (CCC 1228)
Welcome to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton High School Confirmation
Our goal is to transform the hearts of our students so that they are eager and able to embrace the Sacrament of Confirmation.
The Sacrament of Confirmation completes and strengthens the spiritual grace that is granted to all baptized persons. A Confirmed Catholic, who is actively cooperating with God’s grace, will have an increased awareness of God’s faithful love in their lives. They will be more firmly united to Christ, will develop a stronger bond with the Catholic Church and will experience an increase in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
The Church believes that the Sacrament of Confirmation leaves an “indelible mark” upon our souls and enables us to take full responsibility for our faith so that we can live our lives as followers of Christ.
Confirmation Candidates need to meet four basic requirements:
**** IMPORTANT ****
*A BAPTISMAL CERITIFICATE IS REQUIRED TO REGISTER.*
*Students may not begin classes until I have a copy of their Baptismal Certificate.*
Our prayer is that this year, your teen will encounter Jesus Christ and the Church in a more profound way. We will challenge your son/daughter to begin asking life’s big questions and, in the process, come to know the incredible vision God has for them.
We look forward to walking with your children on this faith journey.

ALL High School students are invited and encouraged to attend LifeTeen.
LifeTeen is an 8 semester comprehensive Youth Ministry Program that follows the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops guidelines for appropriate High School catechesis. LifeTeen will help build a solid Catholic Faith that is centered on the Eucharist. It is the source and summit of our Faith. Jesus, fully present in the Eucharist, has the power to transform lives.
During their 4 years of High School, our LifeTeen Teens will grow to know how deeply loved they are and that they deserve to have a relationship with Jesus. They will be supported and encouraged to be their true selves and live a life of joy!
